YOUR HOST (Chris de Wet):
I am a CMAS Instructor (BSAC Equivalent) and have been training divers since 1989. I have done all of the training in KwaZulu Natal and know the dive spots well. I am also a HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association) Instructor and I concentrate on this market sector.

I am also an assistant instructor in the following adventure activities. Absailing, Rock Climbing, River Rafting, Mountain Biking, Archery and Kayaking. I am also a Rock Art guide. I grew up on a farm next to the Kruger National Park and have extensive knowledge on South African wildlife.

CLIMATE:
Although some parts of SA can get very cold, below freezing, we will not encounter any temperatures below 15 degrees C in winter or higher than 35 degrees C in summer. A nice winter average would be 24 degrees C and summer 28 degrees C. Remember that our summer is from October to May and winter from June to September.

MALARIA RISK:
The Kruger National Park, Sodwana Bay and Hluhluwe game reserve falls within the malaria belt and the correct preventative medication should be taken. This can be prescribed by any competent pharmacist in SA or the UK. You will be able to drink TAP water in all the places that we will be visiting.
